P&G Grooming had a long-standing process to reconcile supply planning (demand, production, and inventory) across its regions, involving all manufacturing locations clustered in 8 regions. The demand signal, the inventory targets, and the production plans all came from separate systems, with each region adding its own local business intelligence making the entire reconciliation process slower than the pace needed to succeed in a competitive business environment.
After a P&G-wide competitive selection process in Silicon Valley, P&G Grooming engaged Solvoyo to digitize this supply planning process. The cloud-based platform went live in February 2018 as one of the first P&G projects to reach a global scale.
